What's a Bristlecone?

We like metaphors almost as much as we like doing work that lasts, which is why we chose the Bristlecone Pine as a symbol of what strive to accomplish in our work. The Bristecone Pine is the oldest living organism on the planet. It survives and thrives in the harsh high mountain environments of the Rocky Mountain West and Sierras of California and Nevada. In spite of the hostile environments in which they live, Bristlecones live to be over 2,000 years.
