Practical leadership styles for motivating a winning team.

Bristlecone Learning's ability to build the emotional intelligence required in today’s workplace is unprecedented. Their programs were structured in such a way to demonstrate a genuine desire to make better people. By focusing on the person and not the company, we were able to get phenomenal results from our sales people. Bristlecone's staff are more than just consultants and trainers, they are now partners for life.

Experiential Learning

We are regarded as being among the world’s leading experts in "experiential" training – learning through hands-on experiences and team building activities. These exercises increase the emotional intelligence of individual participants, improve interpersonal communication, and build strong project management teams.

If you're not sure what you need, but you know you need something and it has to be active, take our free on-line needs assessment.

Studies have shown that people retain very little of what they see or hear in traditional training courses. Our brains store information first in short-term memory and then with use and repetition, information is moved to long-term memory. Experiential training allows the participant to hear, see, and use new information at the same time. Research shows that information, which is experienced, used and repeated through action learning has up to a 90% retention rate. That is an 80% improvement over traditional training!

What does an Experiential Training program look like? Sessions look different depending on the objective; however, good experiential training is rooted in solid adult learning theory and follows the experiential learning cycle of Experience, Reflect, Generalize Learning, and Application of Learning. Common experiential activities:

Classroom exercises
Computer simulations
Simulation games
Service projects
Facilitated work projects
Challenge courses
Group initiatives
Outdoor adventure
Developmental Assignments
