Peer Groups and Benchmarking

In addition to training, consulting and coaching to develop leaders, one of the best leadership development processes for many clients is to simply meet regularly with other leaders who are facing the same challenges. “Peer Groups” as we call them are incredible mechanisms to compare and benchmark best practices within a business unit, an operating process or throughout the entire enterprise.

Working with you and your leadership team, we help assemble a peer group of non-competitive businesses that face similar issues and barriers in their businesses as you do in yours. Our peer group process requires:

  • Participation by current and future leaders of the enterprise
  • A commitment to meet 2 to times a year
  • Adherence to established group operating agreements – including signing a confidentiality agreement
  • The ability to show-up and ask for what you want as well as what you can offer

We facilitate everything, from assembling materials for meetings to facilitating and documenting discussions during meetings. The amount of preparation required depends on the group’s preferences. Our experience with peer groups includes the following types of businesses:
